We start at the farm, providing the tools and training farmers need to grow moringa well. “Outgrower” farmers are registered and organized into a cohort through a Village Savings and Loan Association group that meets regularly with a True Moringa Field Officer. Through these groups, farmers receive training on financial literacy and best practices for cultivating moringa. Field Officers map each farm using GIS technology and visit monthly to provide support to farmers throughout the growing and harvest cycle. We provide a guaranteed market for all of the moringa farmers produce, helping them to earn between 4-10x what they might earn growing subsistence crops alone.
We started True Moringa with the mission of doing wellness differently. We believe that being healthy should be simple, affordable, and accessible to all - and that the products we use to stay healthy should benefit the people and planet that produce them.
we provide economic stability and empowerment by providing a guaranteed market for moringa and by creating community wealth through our VSLA programs, with a specific focus on growing the number of women farmers in our community
